"Galactic Grid:" The CBDC Matchmaker Central Banks Have Been Longing For.
When you want to build a CBDC, who are you going to call?
Central banks often struggle to find the right technology partners to work with when building a CBDC.
That’s why Chavanette Partners launched the “Galactic Grid,” which connects central banks with building partners to reduce the hassle of finding vendors. So what does it do?
“The Galactic Grid conducts a detailed analysis of the top rCBDC ecosystem players, assessing and scoring them within its framework. This analysis provides insights into each significant retail CBDC solution and their providers' strengths and innovations, particularly focusing on enhancing transaction privacy, scalability, and offline capabilities.”

What Does it Do?
The 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗗 goes beyond the ordinary, evaluating each vendor’s CBDC vision, their technology, and their ability to turn plans into reality and achieve stellar end-user adoption. With a rocket-solid methodology, it identifies vendors that are ‘fit for purpose’ to execute a mission-critical CBDC infrastructure program.
Benefits for Central Banks:
Central Banks harness the power of the 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗗 to: Unlock actionable insights for strategic decision-making; select the solution that matches their country’s needs; slash technological, operational, deployment, and adoption risks, assess solution openness to avoid vendor lock-in.
Chavanette’s Galactic Grid had a few surprises in their top 20 ranking. I was surprised to find Fluency in the top spot for tech vision and EMTECH bringing up the bottom! Ripple is a solid player in this market and a vocal proponent of CBDC.
👊STRAIGHT TALK👊
I think Chavanette is onto something, and I hope their rating and matchmaking service takes off!
Central banks are not omniscient, and most CBDC builders or tech providers are small companies. Therefore, central banks don’t call IBM, Microsoft, or SAP to build or research their CBDC.
The Galactic Grid helps central banks navigate the universe of CBDC tech providers, working as a rating service and matchmaker to make introductions.
Galactic Grid solves the problem of introducing tech providers from small companies to central banks who are often interested in providers of very specific technology, often from the crypto world. To say these universes don’t intersect is an understatement.
To illustrate the problem, scanning the list of CBDC vendors in the Galactic Grid will reveal well-known vendors, like Ripple and G+D, but most are anything but household names.
Chavanette has also launched the “Alpha Knowledge Platform” a subscription service that provides the most comprehensive data available on CBDCs and Stablecoins.
For CBDC research, the platform is without parallel digging far deeper than any of the existing platforms with colored maps of the world.
Kudos to Chavanette!
