Hi Moon, thanks for the comment and sorry for the delay! Yes the irony is that you can run deepseek on a home computer! I laughed at a video the other day of a guy running a more limited version of DeepSeek on a MacBook Pro with a high-speed external drive. It was hilarious because it worked!
The point of this is that any small company or developing nation can now afford the compute to run a full-on genAI without the cost of a license. This is absolutely key and as to security, I agree its safer than giving big tech all of your data!
