SPECIAL EDITION: TOKENIZATION GOING MAINSTREAM, Linked QR Cross-Border Payments, China's AI Patents
China's zeitgeist captured with 100 Trends Disrupting China Now.
Artwork of the day: Fish Magic, Paul Klee, 1925
Paul Klee was a Swiss-born German artist. His highly individual style was influenced by movements in art that included expressionism, cubism, and surrealism.
In Fish Magic, Paul Klee creates a magical realm where the aquatic, the celestial, and the earthly intermingle. A delicate black surface covers an underlayer of colors, which the artist revealed by scratching and scrawling designs in the black paint.
In this painting, made in the middle of the artist's period at the Bauhaus, the aquatic, celestial, and earthly realms intermingle in an inky black atmosphere of indeterminate scale and scope, where fish and flora float among human beings and clock towers.
At the center of the painting, a square of muslin is glued onto the canvas. A long diagonal line reaching to the top of the clock tower is poised as if to whisk off this subtle curtain.
This week, I’m publishing a three-part “special edition” on tokenization that lays out why it is now going fully mainstream among banks and exchanges.
You should fully expect tokenization to impact financial services within the next few years and not be caught behind on this important technology that will “change everything.”
The three parts are designed to show the massive potential for tokenization, how a “dream team” of banks is working on it in Singapore, and why programmability, a function of tokenization, is so critical by showing it at work!
Next, I’ve got a great read on how QR code payment apps throughout Asia are being linked to facilitate cross-border payments.
Note how Asia once again shows us the future by being the leader in tokenization and linked payment systems. When viewed objectively Asia is leading the fintech revolution.
Finally, there are two articles on China. One is a fun read that I hope you enjoy about current trends, and the other on China’s GenAI patents is giving Washington, DC, nightmares.
🔹 Part 1: Tokenization: A $30tn Market Waiting to Happen
🔹 Part 2: Tokenization Gets Real on Singapore's Global Layer One Moonshot
🔹 Part 3: Ant International Uses JPM Coin For Billions in Programmable Payments!
🔹 Instant Cross-Border Mobile Payments are Becoming a Reality in SE Asia
🔹 China Leading GenAI Patent Race by a Factor of Six, Says UN
