The Quaker minister and painter Edward Hicks is best known for his Peaceable Kingdom pictures, of which sixty-two exist. The paintings represent a messianic prophecy in the book of Isaiah (11:6): “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.” The lion and his companion, the ox, were, for Hicks, symbols of redemption.
Why today’s stories matter
We should all hope for a peaceful kingdom where humans dwell with GenAI in peace. In some fronts, like payments, that may happen, but increasingly, GenAI’s data appetite has it looking like a not-so-peaceful lion!
GenAI and payments get along fine, but it’s important to understand that GenAI won’t change payment plumbing or “rails.”
GenAI and data are a real problem, and I fear that GenAI’s behavior is beyond redemption. Do you know what stolen IP your GenAI was trained with? Of course, you don’t; no one does!
Dollar stablecoins are facing the grim reaper as they are deemed a threat to national security. This shows why stablecoin regs are taking so long to hammer out. Expect the worst!
Tokenization is coming, according to Moody’s! The high priest of finance just produced a shockingly positive research note on tokenization! Who would have ever guessed that Moody’s would dwell peaceably with tokenization?
